Description: This old antique print originates from: 'Dictionnaire des graveurs anciens et modernes depuis l'origine de la gravure, avec une notice des principales estampes qu'ils ont grav�es : suivi du Catalogue des �uvres de Jacques Jordans et de Corneille Visscher, Paris, 1767, in-8 ; re-edition, 1789. This work contains many original plates as well as some plates copied by Basan after others.Artists and Engravers: This plate by Augustin de Sint Aubin. Augustin de Saint-Aubin (1736-1807), French engraver. Author: Pierre-Francois Basan (Paris 1723-1797) is a French engraver. He was a pupil of Etienne Fessard and Jean Daulle. He was principally occupied as a printseller, and published a 'Dictionnaire des Graveurs' in 1789. Condition: Good. General age-related toning. Light staining.
