Chromolithograph Illustration from Pilgrim's Progress and other works by John Bunyan (James Sangster, c 1870). With imprint: Leighton Bros. Approximate Image Size: 9 x 6 1/4 inches. Approximate Overall Size: 12 X 9 inches CONDITION: Suitable browning from age with visible light waterstains common to antique prints, otherwise in Very Good Condition. Image is clean, clear, sharp with beautiful exquisite detail and in Very Good Condition. As scanned. Originates from an 1870 Illustrated Book Publication. This beautiful print would look great matted and framed. An art supply store can provide you with a selection of frames for old art treasures. This is a GENUINE ANTIQUE PRINT. It is NOT a modern reproduction, ie. a laser scan, photocopy etc. It is the original from the antique publication. This print was published on the date mentioned, or circa of the date mentioned at the top of the page. The term "print" is referred to an image on a piece of paper. The print I have for sale, like many antique prints that you see online, originate from an antique book or atlas publication. The publication may not always be known. If you have any questions, emails are welcome. Chromolithograph info:The first true color printing method introduced in the 1830s. The process was based on lithography printing on stone, but extended so that a separate stone, each with its own color, was laid on top of the previous one. Thus, the paper sheet was printed on several times before the print was finished. This required both a number of stones and a very precise method for laying the stones.

Shipping speeds are estimates based on the carriers' delivery times and cannot be guaranteed. Due to the recent pandemic we have found shipping to be a little slower than expected due to shortage of staff. If your order will pass through Customs, please expect a delay.
