About this Item

Vintage original 22 x 14" (55 x 35 cm.) window card poster, USA. James Cagney, Margaret Lindsay, Ann Dvorak, Robert Armstrong, Barton MacLane, Lloyd Nolan, dir: William Keighley; Warner Bros. Cagney was known as the most famous bad man in movies at the time, but he started a change of image when he joined the "G-Men" (aka FBI) for this film. Cagney is at the center of the "G." Nice Art Deco feel in the colors, background and title graphics. Original ink imprint at top for Markay Theatre. This is likely the 1930-built theater, in Jackson, Ohio, which has been renovated and remains. Rare poster is in original condition. There are minor creases at the top right and left corners, as well as to the bottom right corner. There are two minor creases near the heads of Ann Dvorak and Margaret Lindsay, there is also an area to the left of their heads and at the bottom left corner which shows abrasions. A bit of tanning to the top theatre information area. A bit of soling in the bottom area of the yellow credits box. Colors are very strong. NEAR FINE. Bookseller Inventory # wf2115
