Op de prent is een ondertitel te lezen: Is dit nu niet eerlijk en oprecht 'colporteren'?.Deze spotprent kwam uit op 14-09-1935. rechts onder op de prent is de handtekening van Peter van Reen te zien.Met arbeiders en SDAP-leden als doelgroep vulde De Notenkraker tussen 1907 en 1936 het dagblad Het Volk aan met vele originele spotprenten. Deze prent is bijna honderd jaar oud.
