Illustrations de (Milivoj) Uzelac. - 382 mostly facsimile pages. 42 x 32 cm.- 1 of 115 copies (from a complete edition of 750 copies) of the de Luxe edition on Papier Madagascar which was published for the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles with 45 pochoir illustrations.- Milivoj Uzelac (1897-1977) was a Croatian artist, influential in the Zagreb modern art scene of the 1920s and 30s. During the Zagreb Spring Salon of the 1920s, he participated with Vilko Gecan, Marijan Trep e and Vladimir Varlaj as the Group of Four. Uzelac spent much of his professional life in France, and is best known for his portraits and interior scenes with bohemian characters.- Les Joies du Sport is one of his best known and most sought after works as it depicts sports which are very rarely illustrated.
