Add to basketOriginal antique musical theatre poster for Stamboul / Istanbul advertising poems and music by the composer Edouard Tremisot (1874-1952) and a lyrical drama based on the 1900 novel by Claude Farrere (Frederic-Charles Bargone; 1876-1957) L'Homme Qui Assassina / The Man Who Killed and a play adapted from the novel by Pierre Frondaie (Albert Rene Fraudet; 1884-1948) featuring stunning Art Deco artwork depicting a bearded man in white walking by tall trees that dominate the foreground with more trees and the historic buildings of the Istanbul city skyline in the background under a yellow sky and pink crescent moon set within a black border, the stylised lettering in bold below. Stamboul or Stambul is a variant spelling of Istanbul (also known as Byzantium and Constantinople), located on the Bosporus in Turkey. Large size. Very good condition, minor staining on right margin, backed on linen. Size: 121x80cm.
