Incisione in rame di mm 225x295 con rappresentazione di una tenzone vinta da Giovanni de' Medici (1498-1526), detto "delle bande nere", valente condottiero delle forze papali. L'incisione appartiene a una rarissima serie di 21 tavole dedicate alla storia della famiglia Medici (Mediceae Familiae rerum feliciter gestarum Victoriae et Triumphi.). La serie si divide in tre parti: la prima � dedicata alle vittorie di Carlo V e Cosimo de' Medici, la seconda, composta da 8 tavole di cui la presente � la seconda, a "I fatti d'armi di Giovanni de' Medici" e la terza infine all'incoronamento di Cosimo de' Medici. La tavola � stata incisa da Galle su disegno di Jan van der Straet (Johannes Stradanus). Buon esemplare con qualche traccia di sporco superficiale. It's now ruled by Alberto and Marcus Perini, the second generation in this family-business, with the help of Marcus' wife Antonella. We published 50 catalogues of antique and rare books, maps, decorative prints and old masters.
