Original vintage travel poster for Switzerland by Viscount issued by Aer Lingus Irish Airlines featuring a fun and colourful design by Richard Negus (1927-1988) and Philip Sharland (1923-1986) of a man yodeling wearing traditional Swiss Tracht clothing, a decorative red waistcoat and hat with ribbons on it, in front of a cow in a field and church in a village with flowers on the grass and snow topped mountains in the background, the title text and a travel route map marked linking Dublin to Manchester Paris Zurich and Rome above and the airline logo and text below. Founded 1936 Aer Lingus is the flag carrier airline of Ireland. The British Vickers Viscount Turboprop airliners were manufactured from 1948-1963; Aer Lingus used Viscount planes from 1954 (Vickers Viscount 700 airliners from 1954-1970; Vickers Viscount 800 airliners from 1957-1973).
