Touch a Penis banner from Richard Newton solo exhibition at Jancar Gallery, 2011. As a run up to the Getty's Pacific Standard Time, Jancar Gallery exhibited work from the seventies by artist Richard Newton. This 84 x 60 inches banner replicates the advertorial placed on the wall at LAICA in 1977. The ad promoted Newton s upcoming live performance art piece Touch a Penis. Banner is printed on 14 oz Smooth Vinyl. It features photos of The Former Miss Barstow and photos from the live performance. The front is clean, with a few minor scuff and marks the are not very noticeable in the overall look of the piece. The back shows scuff marks from travel and hanging on the wall. The vinyl has natural wrinkles.
