Add to basketOriginal vintage travel poster published by British West Indies Airways (BWIA) to advertise Trinidad and Tobago featuring a bright and colourful image of a limbo dancer wearing a red and white striped top, next to a palm tree with a plane flying overhead, performing this national dance of Trinidad and Tobago with stylised text above and below the image in white letters on a dark blue background. Artwork by the Italian artist and illustrator Aldo Cosomati (1895-1977). Established in 1939, BWIA was a subsidiary of BOAC until 1961 and the leading airline company in the Caribbean based in Trinidad until 2006, when it was replaced by Caribbean Airlines. Silkscreen. Good condition, restored creases and repaired minor tears, backed on linen. Size: 76x50.5cm.
