One of Ten from issued portfolio. Matted 11 by 14 inches Print is 9.5 by 7 inches. No Flaws, Giftable. "In Zichon" Watercolor. David Gilboa, Romanian/Israeli (1910 - 1976) He studied at Academy of Fine Art, Bucharest, Romania, during the years of 1927-29. He immigrated to Israel in 1933 and settled in Tsfat. He is one of the founders of the Artist's Quarter, Safed. Gilboa became a popular artist for his depictions of Safed. Early in his career, as in this portfolio, his interest was in landscapes. Later his focus turn to portraiture though still with a focus on Safed.
