Thomas N. Duening

Thomas Duening is the El Pomar Chair of Business & Entrepreneurship and Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship in the College of Business at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. Dr. Duening earned his MA and PhD degrees from the University of Minnesota. Duening has been an entrepreneur for more than 30 years, and is the founder of numerous ventures, including US Learning Systems, ansrsource, and the Arizona Technology Investor Forum. He is the author of numerous journal articles and 17 books on business, management, and entrepreneurship. His most recent books include “The Entrepreneurial Method”, “Technology Entrepreneurship” and "Entrepreneurial Identity: The Process of Becoming an Entrepreneur". Dr. Duening has been teaching entrepreneurship at the graduate and undergraduate levels for more than 25 years, and consults broadly with startup ventures in a wide range of industries.
