Sher Davidson

Sher Davidson wrote her first book, a travel memoir, Europe with Two Kids and a Van, in 1973 inspired by her travels camping with her husband and two children in 1972. It was published by 101 Productions, and distributed by Scribner's Publishing Company selling more than 12,000 copies. Following that she had no time to write as she raised her two daughters and started and ran a jewelry design business for the next eighteen years. Subsequently, Sher pursued a career in the arts, working as a painter, sculptor and teaching art to children and adults. Later she and her husband did humanitarian aid work in El Salvador. They moved to San Miguel de Allende, Mexico where Sher' studied writing at the annual San Miguel Writers Conference. Her Salvadoran experiences inspired her second book, a novel, Under the Salvadoran Sun. In 2017 Sher and her husband started an NGO, https://latinamericanrelieffund.org, to help support a shelter for refugees and migrants. Sher has received awards for her art and teaching, and has enjoyed a life filled with travel to many parts of the world. She now shares a home with her husband near Portland, Oregon and their two daughters and grandchildren. She has recently published her third book, historical fiction inspired by her Swedish heritage, Dark Secrets: A Legacy of Memories from 1939 Sweden.
