Dr. Mavis Sika Okyere is a Ghanaian pipeline integrity specialist and materials scientist with over twelve years of experience in the oil and gas industry. She holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Ghana, an MSc in Gas Engineering and Management from the University of Salford in the United Kingdom, and a BSc in Civil Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Dr. Okyere currently serves as Assistant Manager of Pipeline Integrity at Ghana National Gas Company, where she leads initiatives in corrosion control, cathodic protection, in-line inspection, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling for pipeline systems. Her research focuses on smart material integration, flow optimization, and predictive modeling for pipeline integrity in multicomponent hydrocarbon environments.
She has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications and technical books, and has presented her work at international conferences including the Pipeline Simulation Interest Group (PSIG) and SCI Synopsis. Her contributions to engineering and innovation have earned her recognition on Ada Lovelace Day and in global STEM platforms. She is a member of the Pipeline Simulation Interest Group (PSIG).
