Norman Latov

Norman Latov MD,PhD is Professor of Neurology at Weill Cornell Medicine, where he also served as Director of the Peripheral Nerve Clinical and Research Center. Prior to Joining Weill Cornell Medicine he served as Professor of Neurology at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. His laboratory is credited with discovering anti-MAG and anti-GM1 ganglioside antibodies, and for developing diagnostic tests for these neuropathies in general neurological practice. He authored over 200 publications, including research papers, review articles and books on peripheral neuropathy.

Dr. Latov was a founding member and medical and scientific director of the Neuropathy Association that subsequently merged into the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy. He was also a founding partner of Therapath LLC which provides diagnostic neuropathology services for neuropathy, that was subsequently acquired by Inform Diagnostics.
