Letters written by Brainerd (1718?1747), the missionary to the Delaware Indians, on living a Christian life and also with extracts from letters by John Locke and the Earl of Essex. This work was issued as the third title in: The Potent Enemies of America Laid Open (Philadelphia, [1774]; Evans 13146) and also at the end of The plain path to Christian perfection,(Philadelphia, 1772). But it was also issued separately in 1774 according to Evans. This copy with the word "foregoing" changed in manuscript to "many." Brainerd was expelled from Yale and now has the distinction of being the only expelled Yalie to have a building named after him.
