“Mummy, Reyna brought in The Doppit for Show and Tell,” said the seven-year-old.

“You what?” said the mother.

“The Doppit. She says it’s really good.”

“Do you mean your sister’s joke about what an elephant says when you tie a knot in his trunk?”

“No, The Doppit. It’s a bit like Harry Potter. Adventures, wizards and things.”

“Oh, you mean The Hobbit?”

“Yes, yes, The Hobbit. What did you think I was going on about?”
