Octavo, olive green cloth (hardcover), gilt letters, top edge gilt, uncut, tissue-protected ports., 90 pp. Very Good+, with lightly soiled covers, slight rubbing to edges. Numerous photographs. From Foreword: As a friend of the family and one who knew Fletcher Ladd McCordic both in childhood and youth, I have written this memoir. The wish that goes with it is that it may do honor to his memory and may help to keep that memory green in the hearts and lives of those who knew him. So far as possible, the narrative is in Fletcher's own words and in those of his comrades and friends. It is supplemented by many letters. To some extent also, and appropriately, the book is a tribute to the Squadron whose gallant story is in part of his own. Aviation, Military History, World War I, First World War, 88th Aero Squadron.
