Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Seeley, Service & Co., London, 1936. Illustrated with b&w photographs. 6" x 8.5". 255 pp. Brown cloth. Chapters on hounds, basset hounds, harriers; kennel management; drag hunting; hunting otter, hare and deer; stag hunting on Exmoor, hunting the carted stag; stoat hunting with beagles - exotic sport indeed! "The best hound for stoat hunting is an 11-inch or 12-inch beagle. They should be hunted, of course, on foot.". The chapter on carted stag hunting explains that the same stag could be hunted several times a year for two or three years, being captured at the end of the hunt and returned to his home paddock. The dust wrapper, with two pasted-on illustrations, lacks the top half of the spine. Very good in a worn wrapper.
