The binding is rubbed, worn and a bit soiled from handling and is slightly cocked. Inner hinges secure. Illustrated with color plates. The tissue guard for the frontis is heavily foxed, and the title page also has foxing. Occasional stains in the text. Early owner's signature on the front pastedown and half title reads, "Bettie L. Nash." The Nash family was from North Carolina.
