Text is printed on the front and back of one leaf folded in half. Paper and text are very clean and intact. There are a few minuscule wrinkles and a small, faint smudge near the top edge on the back not affecting text. A Fine copy. Printed on the back is, "Andrew Hoyem, Printer, San Francisco." Though it does not explicitly say so, this invitation was likely printed at the Arion Press. Invitation reads as follows: "To celebrate the most important single accession to the Robert Grabhorn Collection, Joseph Moxon's Mechanick Exercises, The Special Collections Department & The Friends of the San Francisco Public Library invite you to hear Carey S. Bliss, Curator of Rare Books, Huntington Library, on Joseph Moxon: the Man and his Book, Sunday, February 22, 1976, at 2pm, followed by champagne honoring donors." Andrew Hoyem (b. 1935) is an American letterpress printer, typographer, author, and publisher who founded the Arion Press in 1974 and directed it until his retirement in 2018. The Arion Press was the successor of the Grabhorn Press and followed in its tradition of printing fine limited editions of literature and original prints.
