    Decorative Buckram. Condition: Good. Fully Illustrated (illustrator). Number 189 of 375. Rare book printed in Germany. "The text was printed by August Pries in Leipzig. The black and white collotype plates were executed by F. Bruckmann A. G. in Munich, the coloured Collotype plates by Max Jaffe in Vienna. The binding was carried out by Hubel & Denck in Leipzig" This is book number 189 of 375. The exterior of the book is decorative blue cloth with gold/gilt design. The top end papers has a gold/gilt wash. Cover is beautiful with light signs of wear, back has some wear, spine has wear and is frayed at top and bottom and has a very light/small library call number on the bottom. The front cover hinge is worn and detached 3 inches at top and bottom at the spine gutter--the cover is still attached. Binding is tight but the book is a little cocked. Corners lightly bumped and worn. Inside is clean and bright. There is a library book plate inside the front cover, and pocket on the inside back cover. There are 104 plates and 19 illustrations inside this rare and fascinating study of Islamic Art. This book is refered to by many as an extremely important contribution to the field.
