Scarce title about a young man leaving his mountain home after a quarrel with his mother and beating by ruffians, but after years in New York City he returns home, meets with his mother, marries the young lady he thought about while rambling, and settles down to enjoy life. After a number of years, he became the heir to a former benefactor and returned to central New York with his wife where the made their permanent home.
