No Binding. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Barford, George (illustrator). A Good copy of a "First Day Of Issue" of a 6 cent stamp that commemorates the 150th anniversary of Illinois' statehood. Stamp has blues, red and light brown with a representation of a farmhouse on a field. Scott #1339. Wear to envelope along the top edging and corners. Smudging to back of envelope. Stamp has a cancellation from Shawneetown, Illinois. There is an address in blue ballpoint on the front of the envelope and the flap of the envelope has been folded inside. To keep the envelope's shape, an index card is inside the envelope. On the left side of the envelope reads:"Honoring Illinois Statehood 150th Anniversary; 21th State; Jackson; 1818-1968; Springfield State Capital; Shawneetown State's Oldest Post Office" by Artopages.
