Frontispiece portrait of William Bowman in each volume. 2-vol. set compilation of Bowman's researches in physiological anatomy (Volume I) and his miscellaneous, surgical, and ophtalmological papers (volume II.) Both volumes are profusely illustrated with numerous b/w in-text figs. and several b/w and color full-page plates. Some age wear on binding with spines age-toned, and most corners bumped, thus slightly affecting a few pages throughout. Slight age-toning along paper margin, and minor and sporadic foxing throughout. Binding in overall fair to good-, interior in good+ to very good condition.
