Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 2nd Edition. 8vo. 168[1]p. Translated by Reginald Spink [Reginald William, 1905-1994] and A. Ansley [Askel Ansley]. Profusely illustrated with black and white captioned photos [almost every page has one!], a couple of black and white drawings and a map of Greenland. Color pictorial wrappers with white letters on the front wrapper and the spine and with a vignette in brown across both front and back wrappers of a man, his dog sled and his dogs set against a snow covered mountain backdrop. Almost no wear to extremities, wrappers clean and bright, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. "The first edition of 'Greenland' was published in the spring of 1952. As interest is still being shown in the book and as the first edition if out of print, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has decided to issue a new one, enlarged by the addition of three new articles." [from the Foreword] This book consists of 10 articles written by 10 different authors on various subjects related to Greenland--most all you want to know about that cold land! Date taken from the OCLC record.
