hard cover. Condition: Good. No jacket. First Edition. Providence:Snow and Farnham. 1892. xv + 382pp. All illustrations and maps present as called for. Hardcover. Brown boards heavily rubbed and shelf-worn with wear to all edges. Spine is frayed and chipped at both ends with an additional inch long tear from top down along front gutter. Internally, the binding is tight but front hinge is cracked and again at dedication page, with rear hinge starting. A previous owner has penciled in his name to the inside front board but otherwise, pages are clean save for a very occasional spot of soiling or foxing. End pages, front and rear, are lightly age-toned. Overall, a good solid copy.
