With a calligraphic engraved title-page dated 1832 in each volume. 400;240pp. Chapters on Anecdotes of Humanity, of Eloquence, of Youth, of George the Third, of Captivity, of Instinct, of Science, of Hospitality, of the Senate, of Crime and Punishment, and so on. Foxing to second engraved title. Light foxing here and there, otherwise internally fine, in speckled calf with gilt-titled spine label. Light wear and rubbing to extremities, two corners lightly bumped, rubbing along outer hinges. Front hinge a tiny bit weak. Marbled endpapers and edges.
