Major Harry White's copy, with his signatures. Harry White (1834 ΓΆβ ¬β 1920) was a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Pennsylvania (Forty-fifth and Forty-sixth Congresses). A Princeton graduate (class of 1854), he became a lawyer in Pennsylvania. He joined the Union Army as a major in the 67th Regiment in 1861. He served in the Union army until 1865. While in the army he was a member of the state senate and returned to senate in the winter of 1862-3. He was an unsuccessful candidate for Governor of Pennsylvania in 1872.
