Very slight fading of spine. The inscription is on t he first blank leaf after the front endpaper, accompanied by a pasted-on holiday seal. No dustwrapper. 192pp.

Attractively bound in red cloth stamped brightly with golden rectancles with gilt title and author on the front boards and gold lettering on the spine. Light fading to the spine with fraying and rubbing to the top and bottom of the spine ends. Top and bottom corners of the front boards are bumped. Internally very clean and tight. A very good copy overall. RhymeandReasonis a collection humorous poetry byLewis Carrollcontaining a reprinting of his longest poem 'Phantasmagoria' and 'The Hunting of the Snark'. It includes the first printings of the poems, 'Echoes', 'A Game of Fives' and the last of the three of the 'Four Riddles' and 'Fame's Penny-Trumpet'.

One of the very few truly original interpretations of 'Alice' since Tenniel.
