First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Audrey Chalmers (illustrator). 1st Edition. Parade of Obash was written and illustrated by Audrey Chalmers. The book was published by Oxford University Press in 1939 and appears to be a First Edition though it's not specifically stated as such. It's an ex-library copy and only in fair condition, has no dust jacket, and has been rebound by the library in nice, sturdy, pictorial boards. The book has library markings and the library wear from many children's hands having turned the pages . . . some occasional smudges, an occasional tape repair job by the library, and some "unfolded" dog ears. Nevertheless the book should be quite readable for many more years, and Chalmers' black-and-white illustrations are still neat and portray an older America. The book is 5 7/8" by 7 1/4" and has 78 pages . . . charm and nostalgia. Thank you!.
