"A Guide to Politeness and Customs of Good Society". 151 highly amusing pages of what was expected of you at the beginning of the 20th century. For example, under "Riding and Driving": "The gentleman should occupy the seat upon the right side of the vehicle when he is expected to do the driving." (No, this is not a British book. It expects you to be driving a carriage.). Under "Hints on Dress", "Well-bred people do not often dress in what is called 'the height of fashion': as that is generally left to dandies and pretenders." 4.75x7.25x.5".
