Condition: Good. 1957. First Edition. 254 pages. Colour illustrated dust jacket over red boards with gilt lettering to spine. Black and white photographic plates throughout. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Minor issues present such as mild crinkling and light tanning. Boards have mild edge wear with light rubbing and crushing. Some light marking and tanning. There is bumping to top corners. Clipped jacket has moderate edge wear with chips, tears and creasing.

Book in overall fair condition: a little bumping on covers; slight mark on front cover but a much more pronounced mark on rear; two nicks at top of spine; internally good+ though there are two or three marks on text pages. Jacket presents okay but: edgewear at covers with some loss around top of spine; an approx 8cm tear at top left quarter on front of jacket; clipped on front flap, so assumed price-clipped; some marks internally, though now poly-protected.
