First Edition
First edition, 12mo, pp. vii, [1], [9]-71; 7 diagrams in the text; original printed wrappers; mild dampstaining, moderate foxing; very good. With the early ownership signature of "Mary Lord / Dorchester Seminary / June 25th 1822." While both the cover title and title page suggest there are plates, in fact no plates were ever issued. Another more common edition was published the same year by Lockwood in New York. The present edition almost certainly precedes it. AAS and Library Company in OCLC. This edition not in American Imprints. See no. 762 for the Lockwood edition only.
