The volume is bumped and wrinkled on the spine ends, and the spine crown is mildly sun lightened. The text leaves are gently toned. The dust jacket, sleeve protected, is clipped on all corners, has a jagged tear on the top of the front flap which takes out the last "0" in the $2.00 price. The jacket is chipped around 1/8" along most of the bottom edge; the top edge has severe chips on the rear panel and spine (to a depth of over 1½"). Both flaps are detached and held together by tape, and the spine is heavily sunned, nearly eliinating all the red lettering. First American edition.
