Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 4to. (28 cm.) 47p. Profusely (!!) illustrated with black and white photos (including a double-page panoramic view of the Rogue River Valley at the center) interspersed with extensive descriptive text. Stapled booklet in color pictorial wrappers: the front panel shows lush grapes, fertile fields against a mountain backdrop and two cornucopia; the rear panel shows lush apples and an orchard with two more cornucopia showing various fruits. Just very minor wear to extremities, wrappers ever so lightly soiled, just touches of rust on the staples, corners square and flat (top right corner very lightly bumped), all photos in fine condition, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. A cartouche on p. 45 contains the following publishing information: "This booklet issued under the co-operative community plan of the Southern Pacific Lines in Oregon Wm. McMurray General Passenger Agent Planned and Executed by Sunset Magazine Homeseekers' Bureau, Portland, Oregon." According to information printed on p. 4, this booklet "was prepared under the auspices of the Commercial Club of Grants Pass." A choice piece of Rogue River Valley ephemera in remarkably good condition given its age and fragility.
