Inscribed by Jean & John Curley on the title page! Blue covers with a black and white pictorial pastedown of John Curley and his German Shepherd on the front. Very very rare and hard-to-find! 50 very clean unmarked and uncreased informative and historical pages wonderfully enhanced by black and white photographs and illustrations! Extremely scarce and out-of-print! "John has been tracking dogs since 1959. He has helped approximately 200 people to earn their TD degrees. He has 2 TDX's on his own dogs and has helped six other people to earn their TDS's on their dogs. Six of the eight dogs earned their TDX's on their first try. One dog had only been trained for his TDX for 4 weeks and 5 days, passing on October 21, 1990. He had earned his TD on September 16, 1990. Around 1962, John developed his method of tracking while working with a dog owned by Stanley Killian that was trying to earn his TD. He has used this method ever since, although constantly refining and improving it over the years. He has found that dogs that are imprinted on their owners are easy to train to follow the scent of their owner, when handled by an Experienced Trainer, who has the knowledge to take advantage of this situation. John has worked with our club's Tracking Test for several years, laying tracks as far back as 1957. He first joined The German Shepherd Dog Training Club of Chicago, Inc. in 1955. He later joined the Northwest Obedience Club, Inc. in 1980. He served on the Shephered Club Board and has trained classes in Obedience and Tracking for many years. His favorite class is Tracking; it is what he excels at and his dogs love it." ----- by Jean Curley. Inscribed By the Authors.
