A printed copy of a poem by Julia Johnson Davis has been mounted on the verso of the Contents page and a poem by Josephine Johnson [copied from the Lyric magazine] is mounted on a rear blank with offsetting to the last text page. Some of the best verse appeared in The Lyric, Lyric Virginia Today, an anthology edited by poet Mary Sinton Leitch and in the Virginia Quarterly Review. The Lyric magazine was founded in 1920 by John Richard Moreland, who was succeeded as editor by Virginia McCormick. All of the poets mentioned here are included in "Print o' Life".
