Embossed floral pattern on front and rear boards. 4 inch long area of dark staining on front board along right side. Cloth cover worn at top and bottom edges of boards as well as at corner. Cloth covering at top 2 inches of spine is partially cut away from binding but still attached along front board. Gold lettering and gold illustration on spine are very lightly faded but still legible. Endpapers toned. Illustrations from various scenes in this title as frontispiece, protected by tissue paper. OO and Feb 8- 1900", the date also appears on the third front free e.p. and the stamp on the top margin of a contents page, the front free e.p. also has an inked name and date in 1886 on it, the covers are tight and have scuffing and soil along with some bumped corners and edges, the spine has the remains of a worn 1/2" x 3/4" sticker, there is no writing on it, the book is a solid and usable copy of this bookman's 50 years of reminescences.
