Half-Leather. Condition: Very Good. First Edition. Half leather binding. Four raised bands on the spine which has lettering and decorations in gilt and has a little edge and surface wear. The edges of the boards are rubbed in places with a little fraying to the corners. The marbled boards have some surface wear. Page edges darkened. Marbled endpapers have a little browning around the edges. Trace of a price in pencil to the reverse of the front free endpaper. Scattered spotting to the pages at the front and rear of the book. The first few pages have some chipping and tearing all around the edges. Small tears to the top corners of the pages in the first half of the book. Page 113 has a tear to the corner which has been neatly repaired to the surface of page 114. A few light spots and stains in places but the pages are generally unmarked. First printing of this collection.
