First Edition
First edition. First edition. 8vo. Original green cloth with titles stamped in red ink on front cover and spine, x [blank], 163 pp., frontis., foreword, illustrated, plates, official trail names, errata. A biography of a Texas Ranger, trail driver, and Corpus Christi pioneer. Much about lawlessness on the Mexican border. Six Guns 650 says, "Scarce." Light wear to the front and rear cloth, uneven color to the cloth as is usually the case, else a very good, tight copy of a very scarce book. The section titled OFFICIAL TRAIL NAMES is authored by George W. Saunders, President of the Old Trail Drivers' Association, and provides a great deal of interesting information regarding the various cattle trails.
