The text is illustrated with another six pages of black-and-white photography. Illustrated paperback binding, with French flaps, with black coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. A book about the modernisation of British agriculture between World War I and World War II with the aim of becoming self-sustaining in the case of another outbreak of war (which given the publication date was very timely). Chipping of the back strip edges and the spine also shows the results of insect activity  please see photograph. Creasing of the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and panels with very fine foxing noted. Insect activity results can also be seen to the rear panel. Light tanning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. Foxing to the first few and last few pages of the book.
