No Binding. Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Text is in French. Original black-and-white photo postcard. Deckled edges. No date, circa 1940s. 5 1/2" x 3 1/2." Imprint of "Yvon" at the bottom of the image. Title and stamp box with "Veritable Photo Yvon" printed on back. Copyright information printed on back: "Editions d'Art Yvon 15, rue Martel, Paris; Fabrication Francaise - Reproduction interdite 1 2 1." Postcard is unused. Postcard is very clean and intact except for slight age toning and wrinkling on front and back. A Very Good copy. This postcard shows a view of three Parisian landmarks noted in the title, Pont de la Concorde, Place de la Concorde, and Butte Montmartre. Pont de la Concorde is an arch bridge than spans the Seine and connects the Quai de Tuileries and the Quai d'Orsay. Place de la Concorde is a major public square or plaza in Paris. Montmartre is a large hill and historic district. The Basilica of the Sacre-Coeur is visible in the background. Pierre Yves Petit, commonly known as Yvon, was a French photographer and postcard publisher. He founded his studio in 1919 and operated under the trade name, Editions d'Art Yvon. Yvon enjoyed much success over the years and the Yvon brand became the most popular of French postcards. Editions d'Art Yvon postcards are still published to this day.

Card covers are beginning to peel away from the text block but generally the binding is still very sturdy.
