Published (earlier, 1912?) by Street & Smith as number 795 of their "New Eagle" series. Egerton, a prolific American author of magazine fiction (1900s-1920s), published several dozen novels as well as shorter fiction featuring Tommy Williams in THE POPULAR MAGAZINE, circa 1906-1916. Williams is a sort of international Sherlock Holmes. Egerton wrote additional fiction under pen names, including at least one novel as "Nick Carter." Pulpy text paper tanned, wrappers dusty, some light stains on rear cover, a very good copy. (#156876).
