Wight Art Gallery featuring a remarkable group of textiles from the part of northwestern India known as Kutch including a thorough analysis of the textiles and examination of the basic fiber of a society in which hereditary caste and religion determine every phase of life. Profusely illustrated with excellent b/w photographs with some full page color photographs. Includes glossary and catalog. Wrappers with wear along edges and rubbed with small abrasion on front cover. Light yellowing in margins of block not affecting images. Wrappers and interior in overall good+ condition.
