Green Cloth over Boards. Second edition. Large Octavo, pp. 302, profusely illustrated w/ b/w photographs, b/w drawings, fold-outs including map inside back cover An abundance of remarkable photographs from the important Ziegler polar expedition, commanded by the author. The author's bold signature and inscription are accompanied by at least one author's correction in the text, and this copy is relatively quite presentable despite flaws and library markings; copies with better hinges are scarce, and the interior of this one is crisper and cleaner than average, with covers and gilt lettering also sharp, despite library markings. Economical price more than reflects flaws. Good, mild ex-library, hinges repaired, rear hinge cracked, interior Very Good, extremely light foxing to title page only.
