Frieda Fitzenmeyer, the author of Warwick Press's ONCE UPON A TIME series, is described by Blinn as "a force to be reckoned with"; she is actually Blinn's alter-ego. Fitzenmeyer and Blinn have "collaborated" on eight duck-themed ONCE UPON A TIME books, of which this is the first. 3'' x 2.5''. Original light blue wrapper with flap, saddle-stitched. Blinn, Carol (illustrator). Eight volumes. Variously paginated. All of different limitations, but the possibility of this full run is one of 45, designated by the edition for Book Eight. All books signed by Fitzenmeyer and Blinn. The continued collaboration between the two artists resulted in this happy series following the adventures of enterprising ducks. All illustrated with Blinn's line drawings and added color, some with additional features, like pop-out ducks in Book Two. All but Books Six and Seven bound in wrappers; Six and Seven are in boards. All very fine. Prospectus laid in to Books Two, Three, Four, Five, and Seven, along with two invoices.
