First American from the nineteenth London edition. 8vo in full contemporary calf, red leather spine label lettered in gilt, spine strip lined in gilt. (2) +viii+460 (2). Frotispiece portrait engraving of Fletcher. Eighteenth century Engilsh divine, contemporary of John Wesley and considered one of Methodism's first great theologians. A tight example but with the binding well rubbed and worn, some frating at the head of the spine. Scattered foxing and embrowning, more so to tyhe first few leaves including portrait and title page.
