Taken fron Defoe's original manuscript, simplified, and taken from a different viewpoint -- teachers and pupils loved this rendition and it encouraged discussion. Good book for home study, 7th or 8th grade. Book.

The front cover has remnants of a price sticker on the front and an old sticker on the back. The book is a children's book about Kit Carson. The book is divided into 4 sections: Trapper and Indian Fighter; The Scout; Adventures on the Trail; and California, War and Honors. Carson was born in Kentucky in 1809. He was loved for the homely virtues of honesty, valor, and steadfastness of purpose. Carson died in 1868. There is a word pronunciation guide at the end. Proceeds from the sale of this book benefit environmental restoration and education.
