Black and white photographic frontispiece portrait of the author. Herman Frankenthal was the display manager for B. Altman Company, New York, and became famous when he arranged a beautiful series of drapes for the Duplan Silk Company, which made sensation at the New York Silk Exposition of 1918. Since then, Mr. Frankenthal was recognized throughout the country as one of the greatest display managers. He originated and developed dozens of ideas in draping, and designed a number of the most popular and practical fixtures on the market. His "History and Treatise on Full Form Draping" is splendidly illustrated throughout with numerous b/w and color illustrations of fashion figures and store windows draped with textiles. Minor age-toning along paper margin. Binding and interior in overall very good condition.
